Ceefax was the world's first teletext information service, launched by the BBC on 23 September 1974 it ended after 38 years of broadcasting on 23 October 2012, in line with the digital switchover completion in Northern Ireland.
This website is a programming challenge to create a modern live version of Ceefax using some of the style constraints of the original, 40 columns, monospaced characters, double height characters and only six colours (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan and magenta) using RSS feeds and on-page links.
This website should be ultra fast having no adverts, using no cookies, no pop-ups, no videos, minimal simple graphics, and no other images, displaying current information on the internet as it should be.
